Growers and Exporters

Agri-Canaan provides a focal and coordination point for the horticulture export industry. We support growers and exporters by providing technical and marketing information and training, act as an information centre, and run active lobbying and advocacy programmes to enhance the sector’s competiveness. We support community livelihoods and smallholder farmers in Africa to access markets in collaboration with local producers and international buyers. We provide market linkages to growers and helps create institutions to strengthen marketing and value addition to primary produce, as well as providing training, know-how on export preparation and getting produce ready for the UK/EU Market.

We help ensure the integrity of the African food chains into UK/EU as well as Domestic and Regional Trade Blocs, by:

• Providing an independent onsite advisors and consultants who will walk producers through steps necessary to obtain GLOBALG.A.P, FAIR-TRADE, and other Certification processes as required by your market.
• Mobilising farmers and Groups (small holders/Commercial)
• Training Farmers/Pickers/Packers/Processors
• Support producers during the official audit procedures.
• Post Harvest Handling and Storage Technologies
• Warehouse Receipt Systems (WRS)
• Moving products through the global supply chain
• Managing trade inspection at export and import.
• Product Development, Branding and Packaging
• Training on Value Addition and Product Quality Management
